Best HTPC remote

Best HTPC remote. Looses a star because of no UK version keyboard which is annoying at times

Best of its kind — overall

I have tried a number of different remote over my many years of having a bike home theater pc. This one is the best, unless you want to spend a few hundred for a compete digital and programmable one. But if you're going to do that you're better off getting a cheap 7" tablet with ir and installing one if the few apps for controlling pc and gadgets. I tried that also, the one thing i didn't like was that the tablet (or phone) constantly goes to sleep then you have to wake it to use it. So i much prefer physical buttons. This remote works great, i have programed the ir with my tv functions and use the pc to control every thing in my htpc. It has all the buttons i need for quick immediate use, like play, pause and close. The keyboard works very well and so far has all the letters and symbols required. The air mouse has perfect sensitivity so it doesn't fly all over the screen to fast. Just the right pace (adjustable) to be able to get where you want. Two negatives that is love to see implemented in the next version. First, there is no mute button. Not a show stopper but would be really handy. Second there is no scroll wheel or scroll function. So when using on pc mode and in a menu or web page you have to use the pointer and click on up and down arrows. So what i tend to do is keep a mouse as well as this remote. Again not a diaper for me but maybe for some people. Having used a multitude of similar products which have been 50/50 in very badly to have found a reasonably priced item that is 95% of the way there.

King of remotes

I use a small Windows media box, and this remote is just incredible. Solid performance, peerless functionality, reliable keyboard. Happy box/customer!

W10 remote

Works as expected after detailed discussion with your UK experts prior to purchase, regarding limitations of use on Windows 7 environment. Very helpful and got me in the place I needed to be concerning mixed Win 10 and 7 home entertainment environment. Many thanks to all concerned

Actually pretty cool

Would lose half a star because of the special characters being in weird places and no function key support (that I can tell). Loses another half for having nowhere to stow the usb dongle while the batteries are installed. No problems with Win10, have not tried it with any other OS.
